On World Cleanup Day, Fairmont Nile City proudly partnered with Very Nile for the ‘Clean the Nile Initiative’, reaffirming the hotel’s deep commitment to creating a lasting positive impact on both the community and the environment.

This initiative is one of many efforts led by Fairmont Nile City to strengthen its connection with the local community. From supporting cultural initiatives and engaging with local organizations to promoting environmental responsibility, the hotel is committed to making a tangible difference.

Participants took part in two activities: cleaning the Nile by removing waste from the riverbanks, and a creative upcycling workshop that transformed collected materials into new and usable items. This hands-on collaboration demonstrated how simple actions, when combined with passion and teamwork, can lead to meaningful environmental change.

“At Fairmont Nile City, we believe our responsibility goes beyond offering exceptional hospitality. We are part of this community, and we are dedicated to giving back in meaningful ways. The Nile is the lifeblood of Egypt, and by joining forces with Very Nile, we are helping to safeguard it while inspiring others to take part in shaping a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable future,” said Magdi Gamil, General Manager of Fairmont Nile City.

The collaboration with Very Nile highlights the power of partnerships in driving change. By empowering volunteers and raising awareness, the initiative highlights the shared responsibility of protecting the environment while reinforcing the importance of community-driven solutions.

Fairmont Nile City’s efforts align with Accor’s sustainability vision, placing environmental care and community well-being at the core of responsible hospitality.
