Staybridge Suites Cairo Citystars is pleased to announce the appointment of Shady Samir as the property’s new Resident Manager, marking a significant leadership addition as the hotel enters an exciting phase of expansion and growth.
With over 18 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Shady brings a wealth of operational and commercial expertise to his new role. He holds an MBA from Concordia University in Montreal, Canada, and has held key leadership positions across Canada, Doha, Abu Dhabi, and Cairo, gaining extensive experience across international hotel brands and diverse markets.
Shady’s career includes a successful tenure as part of the opening team of Crowne Plaza West Cairo Arkan, where he served as Director of Sales & Marketing, playing a key role in positioning the hotel as a competitive player in a dynamic market. The property was a landmark project — becoming the first IHG hotel to open in the west of Cairo and the first Crowne Plaza in the city, setting new standards for upscale hospitality in the area. He is also a familiar face within the Citystars complex, having previously been part of the leadership team at InterContinental Cairo Citystars.
In his new role, Shady will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of Staybridge Suites Cairo Citystars, while leveraging his strong commercial acumen to drive performance and guest satisfaction. His leadership approach is grounded in strategic thinking, team empowerment, and a people-first mindset that prioritizes both team development and service excellence.

Staybridge Suites Cairo Citystars, located in the heart of Heliopolis, is a modern serviced apartment hotel offering 140 fully furnished studios and suites, direct access to Stars Centre shopping mall, and close proximity to Cairo International Airport, the Cairo International Convention Centre, and key landmarks such as Downtown Cairo and the Grand Egyptian Museum.
In line with growing demand, the hotel is set to expand its capacity with the upcoming launch of four new floors, adding additional suites to its inventory — a key milestone in its continued growth strategy.
