Marriott International has recently announced the appointment of William Boulton-Smith as the new General Manager of the Westin Cairo Golf Resort & Spa, Katameya Dunes.
With over 20 year of hospitality experience, William is a seasoned leader who brings an extensive wealth of knowledge and achievements to his new post. He has held several significant leadership roles with some of the top prestigious brands, bringing with him a rich experience in the hotel segments of city, resort, country house hotels, and golf resorts operations.
During his professional career stretching over two decades, William has worked for and moved between extensive hotel chains such as Shangri-La Hotels & Resorts, Mandarin Oriental, Savoy Group, and Sheraton Hotels and held various leadership roles in the field of food and beverage, with multi-faceted positions spanning across various brand portfolios and markets in Europe and the Far East.
Over the years, William has exhibited a stellar track record of performance in driving bottom line and returns on investment which has significantly contributed across various disciplines in multiple assignment, last of which, within the Marriott group was, the General Manager at Prague Marriott Hotel and Prague Shared Service Center. Prior to this, William was the General Manager of Marriott Hanbury Manor Hotel & Country Club.
His appointment as the General Manager of The Westin Cairo marks William’s first assignment in Egypt and the Middle East. William is excited about his new appointment and moving here to take on the leadership role and further enhance the brand value into the future.
