Known for his transformative leadership and ‘turn-around’ expertise, Bornman consistently drives performance in RevPAR, GOP, NOP, and management fees—while maintaining a steadfast focus on exceptional guest satisfaction.
His strengths span operational innovation, people development, human resources, finance optimization, profit enhancement, union negotiations, and project management. He is highly regarded for streamlining practices that deliver best-in-class results across all key performance indicators.
Bornman currently serves as Complex General Manager at Sheraton Soma Bay, Egypt, and Co-Chairman of the Marriott Egypt Business Council, where he leads multiple committees dedicated to innovation, equality, and community investment. His contributions have earned him significant recognition, including the Marriott International Top Elite Guest Satisfaction Award for EMEA in 2023 and selection as one of the Top 50 Power General Managers of the Year by Hotelier Middle East in 2021.
